Tuesday we got up 'early' and drove to Ballard (a neighborhood that I love! north of downtown) to grab some breakfast on our way out of town. We drove north to Edmonds where we hopped on the ferry to travel 30 minutes across the sound to Kingston. From there we would drive to Port Townsend for a fun afternoon in a quaint, coastal town.
a view from the ferry
Fit-Fit on the ferry! Her first ferry ride!!
Our scenic drive to Port Townsend
Our first stop was the shore, we touched the Pacific of course, then I took a nap on the rocky beach (i loved it, no sand!!) to get some sun before the rain comes (don't laugh I'm pale I know! but I'm trying!)
Sailboats are everywhere!!
We had a great meal at the local brewery! I love burgers and beer battered fries!!!
Walking the streets of Port Townsend
This was an amazing skate park in Port Townsend, very impressive!!
Making port back in Edmonds
After a lovely trip to Port Townsend we headed to the space needle for drinks, but they only have a ridiculously overpriced restaurant, so we took a picture instead

and left for the hotel. We parked the car and walked across to grab a drink and some dinner at Pier 66. It had a great view of the sound and some of the best wine and food we had had in a while. Yummy Riesling and coconut shrimp!
We ended Hansen's last night with a stroll on the pier, the Seattle skyline with a full moon, a beautiful sight!
The next morning I drove Hansen to the airport at 4:30am!! Afterwards I came back to the hotel and went to bed until checkout at noon! I had a great time, it was great to see a fellow New Englander again!! Thank you to Hansen for coming to see me and taking me out:)! I'm glad you were able to get some time off and enjoy yourself!!
